THE IP LAW FIRM MODEL
Invoke offers a simple 3-Line item billing option for patent prosecution.
Traditional law firms implement manual and highly inefficient processes for performing paralegal tasks instead of optimizing these tasks by use of automation software and procedures available today. The resulting high costs are passed on to clients by way of billing for paralegal tasks (flat law firm fees and attorney time billed at 0.1 and 0.2 increments).
Invoke adapts billing for client convenience by (a) presenting the line items with corresponding costs that in-house counsel want to review and (b) simply refraining from charging clients for all other work where review by in-house counsel is inefficient.
Absorbing all charges for paralegal work, Invoke offers a simple billing option for patent prosecution clients which involves billing a flat fee for each of three total line items: (1) Drafting + Filing of a parent non-provisional patent application, (2) Drafting + Filing of a response to an Office Action, and (3) Drafting + Filing of a continuation patent application.
Clients opting for the 3-Line item simple billing option will not be billed for any of: (a) provisional patent applications that are to be later filed as non-provisional applications, (b) Responses to Notice To File Missing Parts, (c) Information Disclosure Statements related to references cited in cases handled by Invoke, (d) Issue Fee Payments, (e) general strategy discussion with Invoke attorneys, (f) invention mining sessions, (g) review of Notice Of Allowance, (h) review and discussion of allowed cases where a Continuation application is not filed.
Our clients feel free to pick up the phone and call us at their convenience without any expectation of receiving an invoice for the discussion.
